Join us in September for our RNLI Supper Clubs
T o commemorate the RNLI’s 200th anniversary, we’re hosting a range of special supper clubs across our pub estate. An evening of great food and drink, celebrating local seafood, beers and wines, all whilst raising essential funds to support this life-saving cause – book with us this September for a memorable night.
Served family-style, join conversations of the sea with local heroes in the community. Spanning three evenings, find your nearest event and join us in what is set to be an unforgettable night.
*Tickets are priced at £60pp, which includes a 20% donation to the RNLI along with all food and drink listed.
Monday 23rd September
Kick off the week at the Harbour Inn in Porthleven. With enviable views of the harbourfront, join us for a pre-dinner pint while catching the last of the light before heading inside for a decadent meal.
Tuesday 24th September
What better way to spend your Tuesday? For the next of our supper clubs, we’ll be heading to Padstow and Salcombe, each home to gorgeous views of the South West coast.
The Old Custom House is an iconic cornerstone of Padstow’s harbour, with a prime view of the RNLI lifeboat station. Spend a September day exploring the landscape, before celebrating with us.
Home to the Victoria Inn, Salcombe sits on the edge of the Kingsbridge Estuary. Wander along the South West coast path before sinking into one of the pub’s cosy nooks. Dine under candlelight and meet new friends while feasting on our fruits der mer platter.
Wednesday 25th September
Situated next to the RNLI’s lifeboat station in St Ives, the Lifeboat Inn is a popular spot for the local crew to enjoy a brew together after a shift. Watch the waves roll in, and unwind with new friends at our supper club, while supporting the RNLI in their 200th anniversary.
Hopping over to Exeter, find the vibrant Mill on the Exe. The perfect way to mark the midweek, tuck into our seafood platter – paired expertly with an award-winning selection of drinks.
While the sea may not be quite be on your doorstep, the Hare & Hounds in Bath will also be hosting one of our supper clubs – bringing a taste of the coast a little closer to the city.
From Bath to Newquay, the Fort Inn watches over Towan Beach and Newquay Bay. With the sun slowly setting on the evening, catch a glimpse of the final surfers of the day before our RNLI supper club.
Finally, we also have the recently refurbished Rising Sun in St Mawes. With views of the Roseland Peninsula, connect with friends and family in this close-knit community pub.
Thursday 26th September
Just a few miles off the coast of Land’s End, Old Success in Sennen Cove will hold one of our final supper clubs on the 26th of September. Endless miles of golden sands stretch out across the cove, and with the evening glow it’s set to be a magical night.
Across from the Rising Sun, find the Chain Locker in Falmouth. Wander through the colourful high street before settling in for the evening. Glance across the harbour and watch the gentle bobbing of the boats, while indulging in a celebratory seafood feast.
Just a stone’s throw from the St Austell Brewery HQ, the Havener’s in Fowey sits idyllically on the harbourfront. Embrace the charm of this maritime pub, with stunning views across the horizon.
To round off our supper clubs, we’ll be commemorating the RNLI at the Waterfront in Plymouth. True to it’s namesake, light dances on the glistening water below the pub.
What's on the menu?
Kicking off with canapés, tuck into crab croquetas, mini prawn cocktails and calamari to begin the seafood extravaganza. Pair perfectly with your welcome drink of choice – whether it’s a half-pint of Anthem or Tribute, a Salcombe ‘Four Seas’ G&T, or our soft drink.
For the main event, feast on our fruits der mer sharing platter for two. Indulge in lobster, cockles, mussels, crevettes, hand-picked crab bound in dill crème fraiche mayonnaise, crab claws and oysters – a true display of seasonal seafood, enjoy with sides of French fries and garlic bread. Served with either a korev or Lyme Bay or Camel Valley (dependent on region) glass of white wine, perfect with seafood.
Finally, to round off the evening, enjoy a decadent warm chocolate tart with a generous scoop of blood orange sorbet – representing the RNLI’s bright orange lifeboats. Washed down with the rich notes of our specially chosen port, or a pint of our chocolatey stout, Mena Dhu.
