Possessing a distinctive caramel aroma of the charred oak with a hint of vanilla. Subtle sweetness, light, spicy flavour with a hint of butterscotch and vanilla.
Maker’s Mark is aged to taste, not time. This usually takes six to seven years and is determined by our Master Distiller and expert tasting panel. The recipe is not a secret: 70% Corn, 14% Malted Barley and 16% Red Winter Wheat.
Mint Julep: 50ml Maker’s Mark, 10-15ml Sugar syrup, 6-10 Mint leaves (depending on size). Add mint leaves and sugar syrup to a Julep tin, half fill tin with crushed ice, add Maker’s Mark and churn well with a bar spoon. Top up with crushed ice ensuring ice is crowned on top of the drink, garnish generously with 2-3 mint sprigs and dust with icing sugar.
