What's on in Cornwall - September 2021

S eptember is a busy month in Cornwall. The final days of summer go out with a bang as a vibrant array of music festivals and events take place across the county.

Big-name artists grace the stage on the beach and beside Eden’s iconic biomes, while an impressive roster of local talent shines just as bright. Here are some of the highlights.


Perranporth’s popular three-day music festival on the beach is back. This year’s headliners include Tom Walker, Craig David, and Richard Ashcroft. Tunes in the Dunes is held at the UK’s only venue on a beach – The Watering Hole. Get day and weekend tickets here.


Molly Hocking, the winner of ITV’s The Voice in 2019, is among the line-up at this year’s St Ives September Festival. The two-week event sees venues and streets throughout the town come to life with a series of live music, entertainment, talks, workshops, and more. See the full programme and get tickets here.


The spectacular Eden Sessions continue in September. This month’s lineup includes Ben Howard (Saturday 11th), McFly (Sunday 12th), Royal Blood (Tuesday 14th), Snow Patrol (Thursday 16th), and The Script (Friday 17th). Tickets will be difficult to get hold of at this late stage, but you can try your luck here.


Now in its eighth year, the Little Orchard Cider and Music Festival is about to return with a bang. Lose yourself in an insatiable party atmosphere that welcomes big live bands, a silent disco, a BBC Introducing stage showcasing local talent, secret cider walks, and of course plenty of cider tasting. The big St Ives celebration of food and drink is returning to the spectacular setting of Porthminster Beach. Watch top chefs dazzle audiences with their culinary insights at a series of free-to-attend demos. Tickets are only required for the evening music sessions. Find out more here.

RATTLER FEST (17th-19th)

Brand new for this year, Rattler Fest is set to bring three full days of live music, a silent disco, gin lounge, food and drink stalls, rides, workshops, and plenty more. It’s a fun-filled weekend for family and friends to enjoy. What’s more, children go free. Find tickets and more here.
