Recently refurbished, the Pier House sits proudly on Charlestown’s harbour front, looking out at the horizon beyond. Grab a pint of the good stuff, and watch the world go by from the terrace, perhaps even catching a glimpse of that elusive Cornish sunshine while you’re at it!
Find a room at the Rashleigh Arms
Set slightly back, the Rashleigh Arms peaks across the iconic tall-ships docked in Charlestown’s historic harbour. Coining its name from Charles Rashleigh, the entrepreneur credited with expanding the china clay trade in what had previously been a small fishing village, the pub remains a cornerstone of the community. Live like a local, and stay at this traditional inn, sinking into plush pillows after a day spent exploring – and beer tasting!

With our beer house dating back to 1893, having outgrown its original residence founded in 1851, journey back in time and discover our roots. Walk in the footsteps of Walter Hicks up to present day, and understand how we ensure each pint reaches you in top notch condition – from grain to glass.
Brewery tours take place at 11am and 2pm, lasting ninety minutes.
